multiversus

This sub-page documents all known information regarding the game's upcoming story.

While the story for the game was not fully revealed, certain paragraphs from the Official Biographies for the Fighters found on the website reveal the enigmatic Nothing as being the main villain of the story. There are also mentions of a cataclysmic event known as The Great Dimensional Cataclysm, as well as of a mysterious crystal that granted Shaggy his superhuman abilities. Reindog's backstory also reveals that he was the Royal Guardian of the Zanifeer family before their world was destroyed by the Nothing, as well as the "6th wearer of the gem of power". Trophy's E.D.G.E.'s existence and why it is full of elements from other worlds, referred to as "Trophies" inside the game's files, has yet to be explained as well.

The ''Zanifeer's Last Hope'' Banner.

The world of Zanifeer is described as being "one of the first to fall victim to the Nothing during the great dimensional cataclysm" on Reindog's biography.

This Universe served as the homeworld of Reindog and his family, "the Zanifeer royal family", to whom he acted as a Royal Guardian to. The family also possessed a heart-shaped magical artifact known as the gem of power, which is currently in the possession of Reindog, its 6th wearer.

The only current mentions of Zanifeer in-game is in the Zanifeer's Last Hope and Heart of Zanifeer Banners.

Shaggy's Strange Glowing Crystal and "The Change"

According to Shaggy's biography, sometime before being summoned on Trophy's E.D.G.E., he ate a "strange glowing crystal" he and Scooby-Doo found while exploring a spooky old mansion (probably Scooby's Haunted Mansion), thinking it was rock candy. The candy gave Shaggy incredible powers in a process simply known as "The Change" before he passed out.

Heroes Convergence

Heroes Convergence is the fanmade title given to a supernatural phenomenon that occurred in the game's story.

About

The "Heroes Convergence" refers to the phenomenon that brought together all the Fighters. This event is only mentioned in Shaggy's, Stripe's, and Gizmo's biographies from the official website, as well as various commercial trailer for the game. This phenomenon seems to be depicted in the Cinematic "You're With Me!" Trailer. In said trailer, multiple Fighters live their lives as usual before being engulfed by a golden aura and getting teleported to Trophy's E.D.G.E.. Before Batman gets affected by this phenomenon, the Batcomputer seems to detect the golden aura and identifies it as a "strange energy signature". This golden aura also appears in game when Fighters appear on the lobby screen, enter a Map, or spawn on the results screen.

In the Cinematic Trailer, their fights are also portrayed as being caused by a misunderstanding at first, before presumably deciding to work together in order to stop the Nothing. Gizmo's biography also seems to imply that whoever caused this phenomenon was doing so in order to gather enough allies and stop the Nothing. It's possible that Reindog is responsible for this, as he's the only one with previous knowledge of the Nothing and is not shown teleporting on Trophy's E.D.G.E. like the rest of the cast from the trailer, but this remains to be confirmed.

Stripe's biography also reveals the fact that the "Heroes Convergence" phenomenon can also pull characters and objects from various points of times from an Universe's timeline, as Stripe was specifically pulled from his Universe right before being killed by Gizmo, and other characters can follow them through the golden aura, as Gizmo was stated to do in his official biography. While it is unknown how some Fighters that either weren't present in the "You're With Me!" trailer or don't have any reference to this phenomenon in their official biographies ended up getting "pulled into the battle for the Multiverse", Rick is implied to have gotten himself involved by his own volition (possibly after Morty was pulled from their universe), as seen in his reveal trailer, where he enters Trophy's E.D.G.E. via one of his portals and stops a fight between Reindog and Wonder Woman.
